Deadsy's Phantasmagore Debuts in Top 200

Deadsy

Deadsy's triumphant return, PHANTASMAGORE, was released August 22 on Elementree/Immortal Records, with first week sales totaling 4,468, placing them at #176 on Billboard's Top 200 Chart.

The band is currently offering its brand of synth-heavy goth-rock on the Family Values Tour and recently made an appearance at Lollapalooza. With a heavy tour schedule in place, Deadsy found a minute to play a sold-out record release show in their hometown, Los Angeles. While home, Elijah Blue stopped by Indie 103.1, specifically Steve Jones' regarded "Jonesy’s Jukebox" show and performed a stunning acoustic version of "Carrying Over." He then quickly jetted to NYC to spend some time on-air with Howard Stern, where he opened his personal Pandora's Box.

PHANTASMAGORE is Deadsy's genre-defying sophomore LP, following 2002's 'Commencement.' A mutant synthesis of late '70s post punk and cosmic stoner rock, this band has always been ahead of it's time. As the LA Weekly recently observed, "The synth-driven death pop is still intact... but leader Elijah Blue's writing has gotten confessional."
