Notes: Again, I separated the verses to emphasize the musical structure
of the song, and the places where the music repeats. You can notice
that in the 1st Verse, there is a section added (C x 2) that is not in
the 2nd Verse. That was to give more space between the Intro and the
1st Verse. Section A is always followed by section B, and because
section B has an extra beat in it, the song can't go back and start the
Verse on part B (without being very obvious). So, part C is just played
an extra 2 times. The Bass line is very sneaky because even though some
of the notes change from measure to measure, they only change by a
half-step! If you turn up the bass on your stereo and listen closely,
you'll understand. Playing just the bass notes along with the song
makes it even easier to spot. Enjoy!
Lyrics:
Intro
You are, you are, you are you (x4)
1st Verse
You are plain insane
Inside you live
Tonight
Afraid the pain will give
Don't you want to feel
Death has done your part
You chose not to feel
You've won a lonely heart
The devil opens his eyes
He breathes right into your face
If you like the smell
You'll really like this place
You'll really like this place (x2)
Chorus
You'll really like this PLACE,
Are you ready to SHAKE?
Don't be afraid of the SNAKE,
Will to negotiate...
You are, you are, you are you
Get used to it. Open...
The same don't appeal, but it will
You are, you are, you are you
2nd Verse
Live to live
To die,
inside you will
Anticipate solitude
Follow me back home
No other place to go
no need to smile or get stoned
You'll always be alone
The devil opens his eyes
He breathes right into your face
If you like the smell
You'll really like this place
2nd Chorus
You'll always be alone
Your body stripped down to the bone
No breath to scream out or moan
No freedom, nowhere to run
You are, you are, you are you
Get used to it. Open...
The same don't appeal but it will
You are, you are, you are you
Repeat last 4 lines of the Chorus twice
Solitude, solitude...
