Da Brat

Another female rapper is in hot water with the law!  This time it's Da Brad (A.K.A. Shawntae Harris) who got arrested last Thursday for smashing a bottle over the head of a waitress at Jermaine Dupri's Atlanta-area nightclub.  What is up with that?  The 33 rapper was charged with aggravated assault which happened about 1:20 AM last Thursday.

According to police, the 24 year old waitress got into a shoving match with Da Brat after she accused the waitress of bumping into her.  The waitress walked away but Da Brad grabbed a bottle of rum and hit the waitress in her face.  The victim was driven to a local hospital and treated for a deep cut to her cheek and swelling above hey eye socket.  I sure hope Da Brad has some money in the bank because I smell a nice little lawsuit.

Da Brat is the first female rapper to have a platinum-selling album.  She recently appeared on the VH1 reality shows "Celebrity Fit Club" and "The Surreal Life"; and most recently served as a judge on MTV's "Celebrity Rap Superstar."  Da brat feat tyrese- what do you like
