Song: Who's Got My Back
Band: Creed
Album: Weathered
Guitarist: Mark Tremonti
Tabbed By: James Bertelson (AmishWarlord@aol.com)
I.
e-|-14---14-15-17-17--18-17--
B-|--------------------------
G-|--------------------------
D-|--------------------------
A-|--------------------------
D-|--------------------------
e-|-20-18-17-15-17-15----15-14-12-12/14-15-14
B-|------------------------------------------
G-|------------------------------------------
D-|-------------------8----------------------
A-|------------------------------------------
D-|------------------------------------------
Repeat that with a few variations, and a few 14's and 15's
held out at the end of each phrase. There are some
minor variations, but they can be figured out easily
based on the scale.
II.
e-|-----------------
B-|-----------------
G-|-7---11---12---14
D-|-----------------
A-|-5---9----10---12
D-|-----------------
Slide between each chord, strumming not shown here.
He only plays the first chord one time, and it's
very soft, you can almost skip it, but i added
it for accuracy. Then:
IIa.
Strumming not shown
e-|--------------------------------------
B-|--------------------------------------
G-|----11---12---14--12--11--9--11-------
D-|--------------------------------------
A-|-----9---10---12--10---9--7---9--3-4-5
D-|---------------------------------3-4-5
The last part i think could be played on bass, either
that or it's innacurate, but it sounds good to my ear
so send me an email if it is terribly wrong. This
part is really hard to explain, so listen to the song
and try to figure it out.
IIb.
Strum this note:
\/
e-|--------------------------------
B-|--------------------------------
G-|--12--11---9---9/11--12--11---12
D-|--------------------------------
A-|--10---9---7---7/9---10---9---10
D-|--------------------------------
Now, repeat part I again, then play all through part II
distorted. It kinda goes really randomly throughout the
different parts so listen and/or just play any of them.
You can improvise a lot right here.
III:
For this part, this is the notes, he doesn't exactly play
the same thing the whole way through, and it could be bass,
but essentially it's these notes:
e-|------------------------------
B-|------------------------------
G-|------------------------------
D-|-5-7-8-7-8-7-5-7-8-5-7-8-7-8-7
A-|------------------------------
D-|------------------------------
IV (Outro):
e-|-------------------------------
B-|-------------------------------
G-|-7---9--10---9--10---12---12-11
D-|-------------------------------
A-|-5---7---8---7---8---10---10--9
D-|-------------------------------
It's a fairly basic song once you see how all the parts
fit together. You have to know the song pretty well to
get the middle parts. This is a fairly confusing tab,
so if you have any questions, drop me a line at
