Update: Corinne Bailey Rae Thanks Fans For Support
British soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae thanked her fans Friday for their support in the days following her musician husband's untimely death in Leeds, England. Saxophonist Jason Rae, 31, was found dead in the couple's home last Saturday. Earlier this week, Deputy Assistant Coroner Roger Chapman said a pathologist's report pointed to a "suspected drugs overdose." The examination was postponed to a later date so further investigations and more tests could take place. "Corinne Bailey Rae and her family have been touched by the huge amount of love and support that's flooded in from all over the world, and that is really helping all of us cope at this terrible time," Bailey's manager Bob Miller said in a statement issued to People.com. "Corinne is also very grateful for the privacy she is being given and the respect that has been paid to herself and Jason." The Raes married in 2001. In other news, Bailey Rae conducted a pilgrimage to the county of West Yorkshire to honor the memory of her late husband. The 28-year-old traveled to Otley Chevin to place a posy of heather at the town's Easter cross, marking the first reported time she has been out in public since Jason Rae's death last weekend, The Daily Mail said Saturday.
