"Like a Boy" singer Ciara has selected three unsigned artists, Paula Campbell, Tiffany Evans and Samantha Jade, for the Nissan North America-sponsored Glamour Reel Music contest, which launched earlier this week. Fan voting on Glamour.com will determine a winner, who will then appear in a video directed by Ciara. Voting is open through June 8; the video will premiere in August.

Beyoncé Knowles is set to be the face - and voice - of Giorgio Armani's new perfume, Emporio Armani Diamonds. The former Destiny's Child superstar will lend her looks and vocal talents to a TV advertising campaign, after being handpicked by the Armani himself. Beyonce will reportedly sing "an old American song" in the commercials.

R&B teen star JoJo insists she won't fall victim to her own success and suffer a nervous breakdown. The 16-year-old is adamant she won't follow in the footsteps of other child stars who find themselves in rehab, thanks to the support of her family. She says, "I can't see that [a breakdown] in my future. There are things that are more important. I don't think any sane person would see that coming - I'm sure Britney didn't see it coming up. But I'm very close to my family and they keep me grounded, and I don't think they would ever let me do that."

Mariah Carey will be honored for her dedication to VH1's Save the Music Foundation at the group's 10th anniversary celebration, to be held September 20 at New York's Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

A fan reportedly got a little too close to Prince at a surprise London concert on Thursday (May 10.). The R&B star invited several people to join him on stage during the show, but one female fan took the invitation as chance to get some one-on-one attention. Reportedly, the woman danced close to Prince

  • which caused the singer to fall to the ground and jokingly hold his hands up for help. The woman was removed from stage soon after by Prince's security.
