Teen R&B superstar Chris Brown is gearing up to release his sophomore effort “Exclusive” via Jive records this September. Brown is said to have written several songs for the project and he has also teamed with past collaborators from his first set. Among the songwriter/producers working on tracks are Bryan-Michael Cox, the Underdogs, Sean Garrett, Scott Storch and will.i.am.

“Exclusive” will contain elements of rock and go-go. "Being from Virginia, I've got to go back to my go-go roots," Brown tells Billboard.

In regards to the theme of this album, Brown tells Billboard, "I'm not trying to go grown. I'll be 18, but I'm not trying to go overboard and lose my fans. I'm trying to have a bit more mature songs, about sexuality and stuff like that. I'm not trying to go deep into it."

A first single has yet to be chosen.
