Britney Spears Loses Custody of Children
Britney Spears is an undisputable drama queen. Can one person have so many things go so wrong in their life? Well at least she makes a great story for the media. Now Britney has been ordered to surrender custody of her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
It seems Kevin feels Britney is unfit to raise there kids, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1 and petitioned the court to give him custody. It’s great to see a father step up and take control.Superior Court Judge Scott M. Gordon ruled that Federline will take custody of Sean and beginning Wednesday "until further order of the court."
The order is the result of an unspecified oral motion made by Kevin Federline's attorneys and was handled in a closed-door hearing. The order didn't state the reason for the change in custody and all transcripts of the proceedings were ordered sealed. However, the judge stated that Britney has engaged in "habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol." He ordered the pop star to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of her ongoing custody dispute with Federline.
Britney was previously ordered to meet weekly with a "parenting coach" who was to observe and report back to the court about her parenting skills. Both Spears and Federline must complete the court's "Parenting Without Conflict" class.
Britney, 25, and Kevin, 29, were married in October 2004, divorced last November which became official in July. They have joint custody of their sons, but Kevin is seeking a greater share of custody.
An MTV Video Music Awards performance last month meant to herald her comeback was universally panned. The following week, Spears' management firm dropped her and her divorce lawyer resigned.
She then was charged with misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run and driving without a valid license for allegedly crashing into a parked car in August. Britney's new album will be released Nov. 13. Can’t wait to hear what a crack head sounds like! Maybe she and Whitney Houston should get together and make a crack album! Now that would sell!
