R&B Singer/actress BRANDY will fill in for Star Jones Reynolds on TV talk show The View beginning next Wednesday.

Brandy is currently a judge on reality show America's Got Talent, along with David Hasselhoff and British journalist Piers Morgan.

She tells People magazine, "America's Got Talent has really opened a lot of doors for me. I want to do a lot more TV."

Could Brandy become a permanent member of the talk show or is this a publicity stunt to regain black viewers?

A source tells the magazine, "These tryouts are for consideration for the permanent gig. They plan to have a few people trying out."

The View has been the focus of much attention after Star Jones Reynolds announced she was leaving the show live on air on Tuesday after her contract was not renewed.
