BOY HITS CAR SIGNS TO ROCK RIDGE MUSIC
Los Angeles, California-based Boy Hits Car recently signed with Rock Ridge Music. Their first release on Rock Ridge is "The Passage," which was previously available online and at band shows. "The Passage" hits stores across the country July 11th. The album was self-financed and self-made, with Steve Bruno helping on production and mixing.
Says band lead singer CRegg Rondell: "Rock Ridge takes a grassroots, hands-on approach to breaking a band, and more importantly, building a career."
Commenting on the signing, Rock Ridge principal Tom Derr says: "When a band of the caliber of BHC comes along, you have to jump on board and hang on."
Made up of CRegg Rondell (Vocals & Acoustic 12 String Guitar), Dusty Hunt (Guitar), Bill Gower (Bass), and Johnny Ransom (Drums), Boy Hits Car are known for playing the sickest, loveliest, ugliest, prettiest, most beautiful, melodic, heartfelt music, which the band dubs "Love Core." Their self-titled debut album was released in 2001 on Wind-UP Records and included the hit single "I'm a Cloud." Boy Hits Car have toured with System of a Down, Incubus, and Papa Roach to name a few, and were featured on the 2001 SnoCore Tour. Having gained a reputation of having one of the most powerful and captivating live shows, the boys have also made their way through Europe on their own headlining tour and played main stage slots on European festivals such as Reading and Leeds in England and Germany's Rock Am Rink and Rock Im Park.
Boy Hits Car wraps their tour with Flyleaf soon, and fans can look for the band ongoing on the road in support of "The Passage" this summer. The band is already getting radio love on The Buzz in Atlanta and XM Satellite Radio.
