Divorce Court Tells Bobby Brown To Pay Up

Bobby Brown

R&B singer Bobby Brown is being asked to pay for the legal tab he ran up during divorce proceedings with Whitney Houston. According to a complaint issued in Los Angeles superior court last week, Brown ran up a $90, 217 tab and has yet to pay the attorneys or court costs associated with the case. According to E!, the singer has been sued by the law firm Phillips, Lerner, Lauzon & Jamra, which claims Brown signed a written agreement stipulating that in the event of a dispute over fees, he would submit to binding arbitration to resolve the matter. The lawyers claimed to have notified Brown on numerous occasions, most recently in a letter dated June 29, that he was past due in paying the balance legal services rendered during the dissolution of his marriage, including interest on the balance. The suit seeks a court order forcing the entertainer and reality star to enter into binding arbitration with either the Beverly Hills or Los Angeles bar association to settle the bill.
