R&B singer Bobby Brown has confirmed he is dating again, just over a month after his divorce from R&B queen Whitney Houston was finalized. The “Tenderoni” singer was spotted at nightclub Stereo By The Shore in Southampton, New York on Saturday holding hands with his manager and new girlfriend Alicia Etheridge. Brown tells website People.com, "I'm dating, so it's not like I'm single." According to a witness "He made a big deal out of introducing Alicia as his ‘girlfriend’ to the host, the bartender, and everyone he knew in the venue. He also introduced her to photographers outside. He acted very proud of her.” Brown is currently suing Houston in order to change his terms of custody with their daughter Bobbi Kristina, after losing his rights to see the 14-year-old.
R&B singer Bobby Brown denies reports that he had a mild heart attack on Wednesday, saying he is healthy and ready to begin his upcoming tour. "None of it's true," the singer told the Associated Press. "I don't know where the heart attack thing came from – I'm just fine." Reports of the singer having suffered a mild heart attack were confirmed by his rep, Phaedra Parks. She told PEOPLE – just hours before the singer went on AP Radio – that Brown had been rushed to hospital with chest pains on Tuesday afternoon and was "recovering nicely." Parks told the media that her client was diagnosed as "suffering from a mild heart attack ... they attributed to stress and diet." Contrary to this statement, Brown said the hospital visit was routine. "I did go to the hospital, to just get a checkup, get everything tested out so that I could go on this tour, and everything is fine," Brown said. "The doc gave me a clean bill of health." He is scheduled to perform at the V100 Taste of Soul concert in Los Angeles over the weekend and kicks off his tour in Atlanta on Nov. 16.
R&B singer Bobby Brown appeared in a Brockton, Massachusetts, courtroom Tuesday for a closed-door hearing on whether he will face drug charges stemming from his Dec. 1 arrest in a hotel parking lot. As Singersroom reported early January, police were called to squash a fight at the local Holiday Inn when they found Brown outside in an SUV with what his lawyer described as "very small amounts of cocaine residue" in his possession. A clerk magistrate has delayed making a decision on the matter while awaiting more details from police on the circumstances surrounding the situation. The possible drug charges aren't the only legal matter on Brown's docket. The former New Edition singer filed court documents in July seeking to overturn a decision granting ex-wife Whitney Houston sole custody of their 14-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina. Both he and Houston were due in an Orange County courtroom last month for a hearing on the matter, but neither showed up. A lawyer for Houston who attended the hearing on her behalf said Brown's failure to make an appearance seemed to render his motion dead in the water.
According to reports, a judge has put out an order of arrest for R&B singer Bobby Brown if he steps foot in Massachusetts after Brown failed to show up for a hearing Monday over delinquent child support payments. "It's just a very difficult time for him, as you can well imagine," said Brown?s attorney Parks, an Atlanta-based entertainment lawyer. "The media is very aware of this very public divorce that's going on right now. It's unfortunate we find ourselves back in Boston on this matter." R&B queen Whitney Houston filed for a legal separation last month. "Whether or not he's going through a divorce doesn't negate the fact that he still owes child support relative to his two children that he had prior to his marriage," said Judge Paula Carey. Kim Ward, of Stoughton, the mother of two of Brown's children, says Brown owes two months' support, or $11,000. In June 2004, Brown was sentenced to 90 days in prison for missing three months of payments. That sentence was immediately suspended after Brown made back payments totaling about $15,000.
R&B singer Bobby Brown could be planning to wed again after confirming he and manager/girlfriend Alicia Etheredge are an item. Brown, who finalized an uncontested divorce judgment in April 2007 with ex-wife Whitney Houston, which ended the couple's turbulent 15-year marriage, tells Sister 2 Sister magazine he's mad about Etheredge. He says, "That one (relationship) is gonna work 'cause I'm gonna make it work." Brown was with Etheredge when he reportedly suffered a minor heart attack last year - but it has taken him almost a year to confirm the romance. Etheredge has always maintained she and Brown are longtime friends and business partners - but she hopes to be the one when Brown chooses to settle down again. In an interview last year (07), she said, "I think that Bobby is a big romantic and really does believe in love. "His parents are still married after all these years and I think that he will find that again."
