I usually play the bridge differently:

(Bridge)

(F)I’ll make believe that I’m kissin’ the lips that are gone (C)

(Em)Truth is I’m havin’(F)trouble just carrying (C)on(G)

and I use C/G as the form in place of C for the main verses. Also at the end of each verse I play a C (ie. (G)She pulls her hair back, the same way I've seen you (C)do.)

Just my thoughts.
