Tera Wray’s Dream-Come-True Roadtrip with Ozzfest
It's hard to image there's anyone having more fun this summer than Pleasure Productions' contract girl, Tera Wray. Hot on the heels of her hit movie Tattooed & Tight, the brunette beauty is living her dream job and has taken her sexual hijinks on the road.
"I found a home, and it's on the tour bus," said Wray, "I don't want to ever leave the tour bus."
Tera – a self-proclaimed "band-aid with benefits" – is spending parts of July and August touring with Ozzfest as a member of the Hustler Lingerie girls. Hustler Lingerie is one of the main sponsors of this year's Ozzfest, Wray said, which will make 24 tour stops throughout America this summer. Tera joined Hustler Lingerie for five dates in late July and early August, and has rejoined the tour for four more stops beginning today at Verizon Wireless Music Theatre in Indianapolis, IN.
Wray, a frontrunner for this year's Best New Adult Female Star, said her days on tour are filled with meeting fans, hanging with band members (like Zakk Wylde, above), and getting the crowds all riled up during three fashion/lingerie runway shows at each venue.
"As soon as our fashion show starts no one is looking at the bands anymore," laughed Tera. "There are thousands and thousands of people, and the more crazy it gets the more fun and crazier I get on stage. I mean, it's Ozzfest, so you have to scream at these fuckers to make them respond."
Actually, Tera was able to get a much bigger response without yelling at the crowd.
"We were in Phoenix, AZ, my first day. There was a big crowd, and they were completely crazy," she said. "So, like, it was the last runway and I had a fishnet top on, so I ripped it off. Well, the crowd went fucking crazy. It got so bad, that security said that if I did it again they would kick all of us off the tour."
But the fallout from a Janet Jackon-type wardrobe malfunction didn't stop Tera from putting her best breast forward. She says that now most of the time, "I only have tape on my nipples. I'm the only one sporting it out that way, because I don't give a fuck."
She said Ozzy, himself, got a load of her taped twins, and had to excuse himself. "He took a couple of pictures with me and the other girls, but then he said ‘I gotta go. I'm too old for this'."
Tera said things almost got out of (or into?) hand at another stop when the girls took their show indoors.
"We were in Dallas, TX, and Hustler Lingerie was having an actual, real fashion show at this really nice club," she says. "I had just gotten a brand new pair of handmade snakeskin boots – hmmmm, the skin was so soft I just wanted to rub them all over me – so I was really psyched about this fashion show."
"So, I was dancing on this chair," Tera continued, "and I had to be on my knees because they wouldn't let us stand up. This dude comes up behind me and tries putting his fingers up inside me. Fucker! I had my boot heel right up in his face and told him I was going to kick him in his face and shove the point of the boot up his ass." Apparently that was all the warning the guy needed because, "he went way," she said.
Tera was also courted by the Blue Knight at Medieval Times in Dallas. "He threw me a carnation, which was very sweet," she said. "But he didn't win. He sucked. But he tried, and that's what counts."
Wray said there is some time off between gigs, and she and the other Hustler girls get to hang out with some of the bands.
"We were in Kansas City, MO, it was our day off, so we went bowling with one of the bands (Static X)," said Tera. "I broke 100; that was my main goal. I was kicking major ass, throwing strikes and spares, spares and strikes, but I guess my arm is not what it used to be after the snowboard accident, so I think I ended up second."
An accomplished snowboarder, Tera suffered a compound fracture of her arm a few years back during a downhill run. But that hasn't stopped her from being a die-hard fan, and she even got to spend a day at the X Games in Los Angeles in between tour stops.
"I was very excited. I always wanted to go to the X Games," said Tera. "It was so much better in person. It was so much bigger, and so much more insane."
Other stops scheduled on Tera's second leg with Hustler Lingerie at Ozzfest are: 8/16 - PNC Bank Arts Center (Holmdel, NJ); 8/18 - New England Dodge Music Theatre (Hartford, CT) and 8/20 - Tweeter Center (Boston, MA). A native of Kentucky, Wray said she doesn't know how the shows will compare to the initial wild, western stops, but is looking forward to traveling up and down her home coast.
"I expect every (show) to be different; in every state something different will happen," she said. "I think the East Coast will be so much better. I love the East Coast!"
