R&B Songstress Beyonce Knowles has been selected by American Express to be their latest A-list celebrity rep, reports OK Magazine. Beyoncé joins a list, which includes Tiger Woods, Ellen DeGeneres, Robert De Niro, Kate Winslet, Venus Williams and others to pitch for the financial giant. The “irreplaceable” singer, who already has several endorsement deals under her belt, will front a multi-million dollar ad campaign for AMEX set to be launched later this year. “She’s a role model for so many young people,” says an insider. “She has tremendous cross-over appeal the same way Tiger does. She’s an inspiration for lots of people. She’s a great fit for American Express.” Beyoncé reportedly has already begun working — she's already shot some print advertisements and she'll be in Manhattan on Monday Aug. 6 to film her first commercial for AMEX. Beyoncé released her sophomore album, B'Day, worldwide September 4, 2006. The album spawned the UK number-one singles "Déjà Vu" and "Beautiful Liar", as well as the worldwide number-one hit "Irreplaceable." It also earned Knowles her seventh solo Grammy Award. She is currently in the middle of The Beyonce Experience, her North America concert tour which kicked off in New Orleans last month and ends in Vancouver on Sept. 7.
