R&B singer Beyonce Knowles snubbed three nominations to lead the pack of nominees for the 21st annual Soul Train Music Awards, honoring the leading lights of soul, R&B and hip-hop.

Two of Beyonce's three nominations were for her hit single Irreplaceable, earning nods for best R&B/soul single and for best R&B/soul or rap music video. Her sophomore album, B'Day, is up for best female R&B/soul album.

Beyonce, who burst on the recording scene as a member of the chart-topping R&B group Destiny's Child, earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Dreamgirls, a big-screen adaptation of the Broadway hit musical.

Competing against Beyonce in the Soul Train R&B single and album categories is double nominee Mary J. Blige. Others receiving two nods each were Chris Brown, John Legend, Ne-Yo, Gnarls Barkley, Yung Joc and the Isley Brothers featuring Ronald Isley.

The awards, determined by a panel of radio programmers, artists and retailers, will be handed out March 10 in Pasadena, California, at a ceremony co-hosted by singers LeToya and Omarion.

Recipients of this year's special honors will be announced separately in the coming weeks. Those honors include the Quincy Jones Award for outstanding career achievements and the Sammy Davis Jr. Award for entertainer of the year.
