This is a correction to my previous posting of "All Day And All Of The Night" from the Kinks. Isn't it funny how you discover a better way of playing a song after you've posted it!.
Title: All day and all of the night
Artist: The Kinks
Album: I'm not exactly sure, but was released about two months after "You really got me", so it must be on their first self-titled album, funnily enough called `Kinks'
This song follows the same kind of exploding chord sequence as "You really got me"
main pattern goes like this: (with some lyrics to help with the rhythm)- the timing isn't correct, but that can easily be figured out from listening to the record
E--------------------------------------------------------
B--------------------------------------------------------
G--------------------------3---3--3---------------------
D--3----5----5----3----3---3---3--3----5--------------------
A--3----5----5----3----3---1---1--1----5------------------
E--1----3----3----1----1---------------3-------------------
I'm not con-tent to b - e with you
All day and all of the night
that patter keeps on repeating
LYRICS:
I'm not content to be with you in the daytime
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
The only time I feel all right is by your side
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night
I believe that you and me last forever
Oh yeah all day the nighttime you leave me never
The only time I feel all right is by your side
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night
Solo: anyone please?
I believe that you and me last forever
Oh yeah all day the nighttime you leave me never
The only time I feel all right is by your side
Girl I want to be with you all of the time
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night
All day and all of the night
