major chords and minor chords. I will teach you how to play major

chords anywere on the bass and this will teach you to play minor

chords anywere on the bass. It is quite simple. first you allready

know your major & Minor scales. for exsample....the G major

and minor scales.

G:|-----------------|---------------9-11-12-|<--(ten, eleven, and twelf not 10 11 12)

D:|-----------2-4-5-|-------9-10-12---------|<------G major scale

A:|-----2-3-5-------|-10-12-----------------|

E:|-3-5-------------|-----------------------|

2 4 1 2 4 1 3 4 2 4 1 2 4 1 3 4 <---(fingers used)

G:|-----------------|-------------------10-12-|

D:|-------------3-5-|----------10-12-13-------|<-----G Minor Scale

A:|-------3-5-6-----|-10-12-13----------------|

E:|-3-5-6-----------|-------------------------|

1 3 4 1 3 4 1 3 1 3 4 1 3 4 1 3

Now that you know the Major and minor notes in the M & m scale these

notes can be played together in any fashion you like. but the

rule is you have to stay within the scale.

for exsample I am playing a song in G major. I run across a major

chord(G for exsample)

I can play any of the notes in that scale(IT'S BETTER TO PLAY A

RIFF THEN PLAY ROOT NOTES) The same goes for minor chords.

Now that you know that you can play these chords.(Major and minor)

you can play these chords anywere on the neck.

G:|-11---9----8---7---6--|

D:|-12---10---9---8---7--|<------(Major)

A:|-12---10---9---8---7--|

E:|----------------------|

2nd finger on A, 3rd finger on D, 1st finger on G.

G:|--10---8----6---4---2-|

D:|--12---10---8---6---4-|<------(minor)
