Bass Lessons - Double Stops bass tab

Double Stops

Standard Tuning: EADG

Tabbey By: RTBM

I feel that playing more than 3 notes at the same time (that is

a chord)

is a little too much of the good for bassists if you know what i

mean,

I becomes to full..

Double Stops on the other hand are perfect if you want to play some

of the chord.

I made some example's how to use double stops.

the timing is very important in these example's i've made

Their ment to be slaped, so when you want to ring the double stops

you'll have to use 2 fingers.

Example 1 : 100/144 bpm

G|---12-10---9-7\9----7-5---4/5--4------|

D|---10-8----7-5\7----5-3---2/3--2------|

A|-0-------0--------0--------------0----|

E|--------------------------------------|

Example 2 : 50/72 bpm

^

G|--------11h13--9--9\7----------------5h6--5----|

D|---------------7--7\5------------x-------------|

A|-5h7--------------------5h7---4h5-5h7---0------|

E|-----0-0------0--x----------0------------------|

Example 3 : 50/72 bpm (A blues lick)

G|--12--11-9---------------12--11-9--------------|

D|--11--12-11--------------11--12-11-------------|

A|-----x-----------7h9-7-0----x-----------7h9-7--|

E|-0----------x-8h9------------------x-8h9-------|

G|--7---6-4----------------7---6-4---------------|

D|--9---7-6----------------9---7-6---------------|

A|----x------------5h7-5------x-----------5h7-5--|

E|-0----------x-6h7------0-----------x-6h7-------|
