Anthony Hamilton Grows On Next Effort 'The Point of It All' Due This Fall
BET J "Cool Like That" Award-winning singer Anthony Hamilton is busy gearing up for the release of his fourth studio album currently titled "The Point of It All." After releasing three critically acclaimed albums, the soul singer says "I'm going to make sure that I'm doing what I love and also allow the people to see my growth" of his upcoming project. Hamilton's latest album with new material (sans 2007's Southern Comfort– a collection of songs recorded prior to his debut) "Ain't Nobody Worryin" spawned two dynamic singles "Can't Let Go" and "Sista Big Bones." With the upcoming release of "The Point of It All," Hamilton says he has grown and hopes to share that with the world "Just the whole thing is a great body of work — new songs, new attitudes." Citing a recent collaboration with BET Lifetime Achievement Award winner Al Green, Hamilton says "I learned a lot about how you give it [music] to people, how raw you can be, and how open and honest you can be in your music." Hamilton is enthusiastic about the release calling it his best body of work yet, he does admit, some fans may be surprised about the album which he says will be more uptempo. "I want to give them something they can jam to as well, the first single off the album will be a little bit more upbeat." Anthony Hamilton's "The Point of It All" is slated for release Fall 2008.
