Police have raided the house of R&B/Soul singer Amy Winehouse after four men were arrested on suspicion of ‘perverting the course of justice.’ Perversion of the course of justice takes the form of one of three acts: fabrication or disposal of evidence, intimidating a witness or threatening a witness. The arrests relate to an upcoming court case involving Ms Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who faces charges beating someone up severely. The couple were not at their home in Camden, north London at the time of the raid on Thursday evening. A police spokesman confirmed there was "police activity" at the property on Thursday evening and said it was part of an "ongoing police operation." He said four men had been arrested in east London earlier on Thursday and were being questioned in connection with an allegation of perversion of the course of justice. The four men, two 25-year-olds, a 22-year-old and a 19-year-old, were all arrested in west London and were being held in an east London police station. The spokesman confirmed the arrests related to next week's trial involving Mr Fielder-Civil, 25, and a second man, 39, who both face charges of causing grievous bodily harm. A spokesman for the singer said: "The only thing I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with drugs and that Amy is fine and she has not been charged or arrested." Her record label said the first dates of her UK tour, which was due to start at Manchester's Apollo next week, had been moved to 12 and 13 December, but this was unrelated to the incident at her home.
