Alice Cooper And Iggy Pop Recall The Day They Gave Up Drugs And Drinking
Alice Cooper and Iggy Pop both decided to give up alcohol and drugs when they found themselves coughing up strange colored substances. Cooper has been sober since 1983 after suffering such severe alcoholism he was hospitalized.
After a long association with narcotics, Pop joined Cooper and now lives a healthy lifestyle, relying on coffee and tai chi.
Remember the moment he decided to quit, Cooper tells Mojo magazine, "I was throwing up blood. That was kind of my first clue. That's not a good thing. Pop adds: "It was green stuff for me. It was bile."
