Akon to Make His Brothers Celebrities in New Reality Show
R&B singer Akon is following the footsteps of several hip powered Hip Hop/R&B artist, by directing his own reality TV show, which will be starred by his two brothers. The Lonely hitmaker came up with the idea for the show, “My Brother’s Keeper,” which follows his brothers' as they travel around town "posing" as the singer and reaping the benefits that come with being a superstar. "They are going around getting VIP treatment, girls, free food at restaurants, free everything and everybody is falling for it," Akon said. "It's a real life thing, which has got really out of hand in Atlanta, so I decided to take the situation and make it into my advantage by making a reality TV show out of it." Akon rose to fame in 2004 following the release of his single "Locked Up" from his debut album Trouble. His second album, Konvicted, earned him a Grammy Award nomination for the single "Smack That." He is the founder of Konvict Muzik and Kon Live Distribution. He is well known for singing hooks and has over 130 guest appearances and 18 Billboard Hot 100 songs to his credit. He is the only artist to ever accomplish the feat of holding both the number one and two spots simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 charts twice.
